On January 14, 2009 the Metro Chapter conducted our first training conference addressing the topic of Counselor Wellness.   We followed up with another conference on March 21, 2009 addressing similar concerns in response to the positive reaction of our membership. Further, we have established a standing Committee on Counselor Wellness as part of our Board of Directors.  In times of extreme stress, it is most important for counselors to take of themselves as they help others with their problems. In fact, they should be models for the people they serve. The Board particularly solicits the ideas of its members on how we can better meet their wellness needs.
